What is Mongrel Valley?

Good question! As our project develops, we will be preparing methods of crowd-funding and promotion that allow us to take full advantage of our status as independent animators! If a streaming service were to get involved, it would have to be a very sweet deal that wouldn't stifle our creative vision. We'll play it as it goes!

We are focusing on telling stories that will primarily be relatable to young adults or teenagers who are still on their own quests to understand how they fit into the world. The characters in Mongrel Valley are meant to be realistic in their struggles despite their magical environment, so a lot of emphasis will be placed on themes of psychology and mental health.

Mongrel Valley is the name of the town that our characters call home. It's an off-the-grid, unremarkable settlement of strange and unique people who don't quite fit in anywhere else. I mean, the mayor lives in a boot for goodness sake! The definition of "mongrel" is a mixed breed dog, or a mutt in other words. Even though the denizens of Mongrel Valley each come from distinct cultures, there's something about the place that brings everyone together...
